Bare ass causes Halo 2 delay
Halo 2 is finally coming out in North America this week. This after a delay caused by nudity, of all things. In May alone, the belated PC sequel was pushed back thrice, but the latest reason takes the cake.
Early news was quite scant on details regarding the nudity, but we’ve later learned that a map editor tool being bundled with the game is the culprit. The content in question is a picture of some guy revealing his bare ass when a certain error occurs.
Because of this, Microsoft notified the ESRB, which in turn added the words “Partial Nudity” in the game’s description. M$ also had to put in new stickers with the correct ESRB information, and future releases will have the content removed. It’s no surprise Halo 2 was pushed back to May 31.
Microsoft surely thinks that this half-assed attempt to crack a joke isn’t funny. Imagine, a last-minute bug that shows up before their PC shooter’s opening.
