Barry Greinsteen Wins at Only 5%

This is one of the rare videos I’ve seen of Barry Greenstein making a huge play. He bluffs Eli Elezera – a 95% favorite to win the hand going into the river – by moving all-in over the top. I’m really not in love with the move because it felt more like an act of desperation to get the chips rather than a play at the pot.

What was key here is Eli plays with Barry a lot and is a conservative pro. A lot of other players (myself included) make this call most of the time because of the Ace and flush draw as well as the few possibilities Barry has. He was basically down to a king because it’s highly unlikely he raised (or called I raise I can’t remember which) with just a 2 or a 3. He either has pocket 2s, caught a king, or is stone cold bluffing. He was bluffing, but fortunately Eli has a lot of discipline. Barry knew that and shows in this video why knowing your opponents can help you pick your spots.
