Bartman says no to $25,000 offer

Someone leave this poor guy alone. Steve Bartman – a name that Chicago Cubs fans will forever remember. Why? Because he supposedly ruined their playoff dreams. It wasn’t Alex Gonzalez (and his fielding error) and it wasn’t the other five or six fans trying to catch the same foul ball. It was only Bartman. In the latest episode of this never-ending story, Bartman has turned down a $25,000 offer for an autograph.

All he would have to do is show up at the National Sports Collectors Convention and sign a picture of the infamous incident at Wrigley Field. But – Bartman has declined, according to a friend.

If I were Bartman – I would do it. I wouldn’t say one word. I would just show up and let everyone say anything they wanted to. I would wear my Cubs hat and headphones, sign the picture, and smile as they handed me the check. But, he won’t do it.

I was able to find an interesting video on YouTube of when Bartman was being escorted out of the stadium by security. Even on the concourse, fans were trying to get a hold of Bartman and still cursing at him. Check it out.
