Click fraud has been one of the major ‘enemies’ in this industry that we are working in. Many have been working against such for advertisers have been complaining that they had been shelling out cash as payment for ads clicked when in fact they are fraudulent clicks. One of the newest tandems to win the battle against click fraud is the Yahoo! and Click Forensics team.

Yahoo! has its own pay-per-click ads program, Yahoo Publisher Network. With Click Forensics being part of Yahoo!’s team against click fraud, they would be able to track which clicks are valid and which are plain fraudulent. Click Forensics is known as a company which tracks how many times ads are being clicked. They are able to distinguish the real clicks from the ‘fake’ clicks. The company has claimed that click fraud can be done by automated software bots or can be done by people. One of their most recent reports mentioned that click fraud has gone up 15% last year.
