B&B Borrowed Brilliance update

Okay, readers, this is a little intro to Borrowed Brilliance, which is what I’m calling our interview series.

The Seth Godin interview is in the can and will be appearing here tomorrow. For those of you who don’t know who Seth is, he’s a marketing guru, self-labeled “agent of change” and the author of 12 bestselling books on marking in the digital age.

And he’s a staggeringly prolific blogger with at least one post nearly every day—usually more (weekends included). Oh, and he’s the founder of Squidoo.com.  I’m grateful he agreed to be the inaugural victim of Borrowed Brilliance.

I’m also ready to announce next week’s victim: Hugh MacLeod. Hugh is a freelance marketing consultant and blogger (GapingVoid.com). If you’ve never heard of “How to be Creative,” the Thresher virus, Social Objects or the Blue Monster, do yourself a favor and spend some time this week checking out his site.

Seth will be talking to us about the importance of understanding the way social media is shifting the marketing landscape and how vital it is to our future success. Hugh will be talking about how to use blogs and other social media to do become successful marketers in that new environment.

And it all starts tomorrow. If you’re not sure you can remember to be back, go ahead and subscribe to the feed now.
