Become Tide Stain

Tide to Go, from P&G, ran a talking stain ad in the Super Bowl last week and you can now create your own version of the ad at mytalkingstain.com. Upload your picture, record your own vocal and share the effort around. You really need to be in the US to record your own vocal over the phone, so it also gives you the option of using the original sound from the ad. Tide are also doing the ‘make your own commercial for us’ with their Make a Spoof contest. Make your own version, following the pretty strict rules and using the assets they are sharing and if it wins they may use it on the TV wherever they want without paying you. This is yet another contest where you retain absolutely no rights in your work when you submit it – i wish companies would wake up and ask for a license and not all the rights. Despite this lack, the kit they offer you is pretty good and you could have fun with it.
