Although the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremonies don’t take place until Friday August 8th, some events will begin today. Here’s what is happening today:
Women’s Soccer
- Preliminary round Group E match 1 (ARG vs CAN)
- Preliminary round Group G match 1 (JPN vs NZL)
- Preliminary round Group F match 1 (GER vs BRA)
- Preliminary round Group F match 2 (PRK vs NGR)
- Preliminary round Group G match 2 (NOR vs USA)
- Preliminary round Group E match 2 (CHN vs SWE)
