Bellso Definitely a Leader in the Meal Dissembly Kitchen Franchising

(Unhappy Franchisee)  If there were a Franchise Pun of the Week Award it would go to UnhappyFranchisee.com for recoining the farcical Meal Assembly Kitchen concept as the Meal Dissembly Kitchen* concept, and naming Take & Bake Gourmet (aka Fake & Take Gourmet) Diva Michele Bellso as Queen Dissembler.

Bellso, as you may recall, is the head of the tiny and failing Make & Take Gourmet meal assembly franchise chain who endeared herself to this blog by announcing that her 12-unit chain was the industry leade, and that she was not distressed by her many failed franchisees because she had expected it all along.

Bellso is not the poster child for franchise regulation because of the number of people of people who have – or will soon – lose hundreds of thousands of dollars with her concept.  She stands doesn’t stand out for being calculated or necessarily good at cashing in on a failing trend.  No, she is a standout for her public displays of chutzpah, and for her love of documenting her outrageous, grandiose and self-contradictory claims in the press.

Check out the story on Unhappy Franchisee, which documents Ms. Bellso’s claim that her company is self-funded and never had need for a loan while – another article in the same publication – provides details of her SBA loan for $100,000.  Classic stuff:
