Best Buy Windows Vista Memo

Best Buy had grudge over Microsoft Windows Vista and the memo they circulated to their employees show their gripe. The sub-par sales of Windows Vista compared to Windows XP was felt by vendors and retailers like Best Buy alike.

The memo circulated by Best Buy to their employees talks about how different Windows 7 is compared to Vista. Vista in their memo was an operating system labeled as “just works program”.

The items in the memo explain the following:

1. Best Buy introduce the Technology Guarantee starting June 26 where consumers buying a PC with Windows Vista Home Premium, Business or Ultimate would be given free upgrades to Windows 7 when it launches on October 22.

2. Individual software purchase of Vista Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate would also qualify on the Technology Guarantee program.

Clearly, Best Buy doesn’t feel any love on Windows Vista and they are preparing hard for Windows 7. Would Windows 7 end up big for the retail company?
