Best Selling Book Lists – A Key To Trends

Freelance writers are often urged to spot trends and write about them. One way to spot trends, at least in publishing, is to keep an eye on best seller lists.
Publisher’s Weekly puts best selling book lists on their website, which makes it easy. They offer lists in seven categories:
Don’t limit yourself to one or two lists when you’re looking for a trend… cast an eye at all of them. I’m often amazed at how a list like these will spark an idea or two.
