I’m a sucker for sports movies. Any kind of sports movie. I love the drama… love the physical aspect… love the hunky guys….
Okay, you get my drift. So what are the top sports movies in my humble opinion? I’ll tell you.

Any Given Sunday
Oliver Stone did such a great job with this film that you will think you are watching a real game. He put cameras on the backs of guys legs so you could feel as if you are right in the middle of things. I loved the drama of this movie and especially liked the scenes with Jamie Foxx and Al Pacino. Heat up a bowl of jambalaya and rent it before football season starts next year. It will get you in the mood for some NFL action.

Bend It Like Beckham
This is just one charmingly done film that everyone should see! A couple wonderful stars (Parminder Nagra, Keira Knightley, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and on and on), a great story line, and great message.

Invincible
This is a pretty incredible story about a real life joe who ended up playing in the NFL. But the amazing part is that he wasn’t just in the league for a year. No, Vince Papale last for three years. That’s amazing when you consider how long the average football career in the NFL is for guys that train for years to be in it. Perhaps the best part of this movie is the bonus story you get about Papale on the DVD. Rent it.

Victory
Okay, this is a cheesily awesome film, but that just makes it all the more reason to rent it. It has Sly Stallone looking fabulous, Pele, and just about every other soccer player from the 80s. It’s one of those movies that is so bad it’s good. You know?
That wraps up my list for now. How about your favorite films?
