Bethesda designer makes new Portal map

There’s a new Portal map from Bethesda. Well, it’s not officially from the game developer, but from Daryl Brigner, one of their designers to be exact. Yes, when Daryl isn’t busy working on Fallout 3, he’s cooking up maps to 2007’s best first-person game.

Ren_Test3 is Daryl’s new map, and it’s available for download. Apparently, it’s not the designer’s first Portal map because according to Bethesda’s blog, Daryl has included Ren_Test 1 and 2.

To install the maps, extract the Ren_Tests.bmz anywhere you want. Load up Portal, click “Bonus Maps” click “Import Bonus Maps”, navigate to where the Ren_Tests.bmz file is located, select the file, and click “Open.” The Ren_Test map pack will be in the Bonus Maps window.
