Beyoncé’s “Obsessed” Out on DVD

I didn’t go to the theaters to see this one and I promised myself I wouldn’t watch it when it came out on DVD but, of course, I couldn’t resist and I’ll be watching Obsessed tonight. I think that Beyoncé Knowles has delivered some really bad acting over the years (yes, I know she did reasonably well in Dreamgirls but she was pretending to be a singer – how hard could that have been?!) but I need to see her go crazy on a stalker.

In the film, Sharon (Beyoncé) has a perfect life – she has a beautiful son and her hardworking husband, Derek (Idris Elba, just got a huge promotion at work. Sounds fantastic to me! Unfortunately, Lisa, a temp (Ali Larter) in the office, is not only hot but she’s smart and Derek finds himself drawn to her. Being nice to Lisa was his biggest mistake because the girl is actually nuts and becomes obsessed with being with him. Of course, Sharon isn’t going to let go of her husband without a fight (which is exactly why I’m going to watch this film – I wanna see them fight!).
Critics were not kind to this movie but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. Check out the trailer:
