I would love to get into podcasting and video. These are great methods to increase visibility and offer additional content in a variety of mediums. Moving into these fields will require a lot of learning and a little investment. Still, I hope to make some headway in new media during the coming year.

Anne,

In this the age of information, broadband Internet and rapidly changing digital communication there are numerous opportunities for thought leader/authors/experts/speakers/etc. to get their ideas and content to their target market.

My book has done a lot to brand me. It's an awesome business card and lead generator. Then I use podcasting, blogging, online video and my email newsletter to continue building a relationship with my target market.

There are so many channels available to us--may as well use a diverse portfolio of them. Any small section of a book can translate easily into a podcast episode or blog post. You may as well use these channels to attract more people to your message.

You're dead on when you say "think beyond the book."
