The bad blood between these two tech titans runs so deep, someone made a movie about it. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs will be together on stage at the D conference in San Diego next week for a 75-minute moderated session. Place your bets on how long the moderator can keep it civil. I’m guessing 30 minutes, max.
The last time they were on stage together ten years ago, a dejected Steve was humbled by an ominous Bill. Now that Microsoft’s in the doldrums and Apple’s a design darling, perhaps Steve will take this opportunity for revenge. From Vista and Zune to DRM and FUD, Bill’s now open to attack from every angle.
