Bills Sign Owens – Super Bowl Contenders

As we said, the Dallas Cowboys made a mistake by releasing Terrell Owens. On Friday, the Buffalo Bills capitalized on that mistake by signing the controversial wide receiver to a one-year contract.

Owens will be a fantastic fit with the Bills. While they have an improving defense, the team’s offense wasn’t going to get much better as it was constructed. Enter Terrell Owens. Now they have a wide receiver that can garner a lot of attention. That will open the door for Lee Evans on the other side to get down the field.

If the Bills defense steps up and Trent Edwards doesn’t choke under the pressure of the new expectations (not to mention the constant complaining by T.O.), a Super Bowl in 2009 isn’t out of the question.

You heard it hear first, Buffalo. Plan for those playoff tickets because T.O. is going to be the best thing to happen to Buffalo since they started dipping chicken wings into tabasco sauce.
