I have previously written about Windows Vista Sleep Mode Problems, — A number of my friends had wake up problems after installing Windows Vista Service Pack. They experienced their PCs crashing when attempting to wake their computer from sleep mode.
This should not be a problem if you have not been using this feature; however for me, this is a big issue as I have been putting my laptop to sleep mode for the past 10 months or so.
One of the comments from the post said his problem was fixed on a Pavilion Laptop dv2736us by downloading BIOS update from HP website. In the comments: The BIOS update from the HP website fixed my problems with an improper shut down occurring in sleep when and needing to totally reboot. I have Pavilion Laptop dv2736us.
I suggest it is time for you to check BIOS update or any other updates from your computer’s website. That is what I would be doing today.

Why glad you fixed your problem so nicely! There can be other reasons for Vista needing to get its sleep problem fixed, like hibernate file, or media sharing. Well good luck.
