Black Eyed Peas “The E.N.D.”

The new Black Eyed Peas album, The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) becomes available today and I feel like it’s taken forever for it to come out.
If you listen to the radio even a little bit you’ve undoubtedly heard their first single “Boom Boom Pow” and they’ve already released the second one “I Gotta Feeling” (don’t worry, if you haven’t heard it you will since it’s been chosen as the promotional song for CBS’ fall lineup).
I’ve heard most of the album and I’ve got to say that it’s very different from their older music and I don’t really even know how to categorize it. Sometimes it sounds futuristic but then at other times it sounds reminiscent of music from a decade in the past (70s, 80s and 90s).
For the most part, it’s actually pretty decent and I think that they are releasing it at the right time of year. It feels like a great summer album. I could see myself listening to almost every song on the beach or driving with my windows down.
