Black Eyed Peas Announce Summer Tour

“I Gotta Feeling” that this summer is going to be ruled by the Black Eyed Peas. They’ve released their new album The E.N.D., their single “Boom Boom Pow” has been atop Billboard’s Hot 100 list for 10 weeks and their newest song, “I Gotta Feeling” is already getting a lot of airplay and will be used to promote CBS’ Fall lineup.

Now, Billboard is reporting that the Peas will be embarking on a summer tour. Fergie revealed: “it’s going to be the biggest tour, production-wise, that we’ve ever done. We’re actually planning for that now, which we’ve never done before — actually plan for a tour. It’s usually just learn the songs by performing at festivals and that’s our show. But now we’re stepping it up. We had some visuals before, but now we are going to have a lot more, and we’re really excited about that.”
As you might predict from watching their live performances of “Boom Boom Pow,” they band plans to “utilize a lot of the technology that’s out there.” I’m expecting it to be a high-tech production and I can imagine them using things like strobe lights and electric displays to make it all look more futuristic.
It’s too early for complete tour details and dates but I will keep my eyes open for any updates and announcements.
