CBS will be launching their summer marketing campaign and what better way to do it than to use one of today’s hottest groups to attract viewers? The network will be using the Peas’ upcoming single “I Gotta Feeling” to promote their fall lineup.
You can expect to hear the song starting this Sunday during the telecast of the 63rd annual Tony Awards.
“We were looking for a positive message to lead our summerlong promotional campaign,” said CBS exec, Ron Scalera. “The Black Eyed Peas know how to make hits, and we know their music can help us make some hits of our own.”
Great… I’m having a hard enough time getting their song “Boom Boom Pow” out of my head and now I’ll be singing this one all day too. Honestly, after listening to “I Gotta Feeling,” it sounds awfully commercial and almost like it was created to be a television jingle of sorts. I guess that makes it perfect for this campaign!
