BlackBerry: In the Palm of My Hand 23

The BlackBerry is my Connector
The BlackBerry is my connector,
I shall not sit idle
IT makes me never sit in empty meetings
IT leads me out of still downtime
IT restores my date book
IT leads me in the path of write-eousness
For IT is my companion.
Even thought I walk through the valley
Of the shadow of too much information
I fear not missing a thing
For IT is with me 24/7
The screen and keypad comfort me.
Surely email and phone calls shall follow me
All the days of my life
And I shall dwell in the house of
Instantaneous information and connection forever and wherever.

You.must.be.stopped!
Could you send that to me on a wireless handheld device so that I can look important to the people in front of me!
[sound of coffee splashing monitor and keyboard]
Just make sure you don’t take a byte from a poisonous BlackBerry. This is enough to drive me up a Treo!
Wasn’t that from a Hans Christian Appleiphone story? Or was it the Brothers Palm?
We must stop. As they say in texting :) :) :) :)
Beware of lightning from heavenly deity!
[tim ducks for cover after laughing at this post]
Oh, I know what you mean, my satellite service provider might send a power surge! Thanks for the warning.
What a poem David! Ode to the Blackberry, Treo, and iPhone. LOVE IT! I’ve got a Blackberry, and though I don’t sing to it, my wife calls it “the other woman” for I am never far without it.
I must depart…BB is feeling neglected :)
Phil,
Even though I wrote the ode I am odd in that I do not have a BB. Of course I always wanted a BB gun as a child so you just never know…
David
To use holy scripture to make a joke about blackberry usage is beyond belief. You should be ashamed!!
Kim,
My intention was to show no disrespect for holy scripture. I apologize to you if you were offended.
I do not feel ashamed as my faith embraces humor. I have always loved the modified serenity prayer written by Jane N.
God grant me the laughter to see the past with perspective, face the future with hope, and celebrate today without taking myself too seriously.
David
David – stay away from the red rider BB gun. You’ll shoot your eye out.
To BB or not to BB…that is the question.
Phil: I will watch out for both the red rider and my eye!
T.S: And the answer will come by…..text message!
