Blake is Gone – I’m Your Poker Blogger Now

Hello readers! Change is in the aire and AllPokerAddicts is reflective of that. This blog will now be updated frequently with my insight into the world of poker. Let me give you a background of what you’re dealing with.
I’ve been playing poker for about 4 or 5 years now. I got into it coincidentally with the Poker rush that led to the burgeoning of the WSOP as we know it today. In the last 3 years, I’ve been to Las Vegas twice and played quite a few hands. (If you’re headed westward, send me a comment and I can give you a headsup.) I also play every home game I can get with a good group of guys. Its tournament style with a $20 buy-in and rebuys. I use to play in a game at least every three weeks, but popularity has fizzled as of late. I really do love playing poker – it wasn’t just a fad for me.
Of course, the game is Texas Hold’em. I’ll watch stud, raz, omaha, and other games, but only Hold’em can”hold” my attention. In accordance, Hold’em will be the flavor of this blog.
My style varies depending upon my mood and how long I’ve gone without playing cards. Right now it’s been a few weeks so I’d be pretty anxious to touch some gloss and see a flop. I think my game is somewhat hard to predict because I am one of those people that will play any two and I will raise and call with any two – out of position or on the button – I don’t constrain myself to “rules” at all times. Yes, I like good percentages but I also like being a wild card at times. If I don’t play loose some hands, I grow listless and my game tightens significantly.
I hit my stride about a year ago. I was playing frequently and racking up tournament wins at a very high clip. Unfortunately, I have sputtered lately but hopefully through writing in this blog and listening to you I can improve my game.

That’s great! I see you write in understandable English words.
