For those living under a rock, the Blog Herald was sold to BlogMedia just a few days ago and being the cool, groovy guy that I am .. I was lucky enough to score an interview !
——————————–
Jamsi: So you’ve bought one of the biggest blogs on the web, how does it feel mr Cowboy?
David: First off I didn’t buy it. I’m a part owner I can admit to that. BlogMedia Inc holds the majority however.
Jamsi: There was some keen Sitepoint dudes trying to steal it away from you, how did you manage to secure the deal?
David: I contacted Duncan direct and we did the deal in about 20 minutes.
Jamsi: We all know Duncan did an excellent job of running the Blog Herald solo, will Blog Herald be run by more than one person?
David: Well the ownership of BlogMedia Inc, and myself discussed this at depth and we are going with multiple bloggers. It just seems like a stronger
method of covering the news.
Jamsi: Just to mix it up, will you accept a lap dance from Scrivs if he asked?
David: No comment. I don’t swing that way.
Jamsi: Moving right on, future plans for the Herald! Are there talks of new features, a forum perhaps?
David: Umm. Well of course we have to start working on a design. And other features are in the works.
Jamsi: We all know you’ve moved away from blogging and taken on a more management role, will you be the sole brains behind the Blog Herald or will you take up some posting duties as well?
David: Basically I’m handling Sales and Marketing for BlogMedia Inc, running some other ventures. I do blog consulting, and I broker blog purchase deals. I have been doing that for some time now. I was the brain behind picking up ProBlogging.com, and a few others I’m under contract not to talk about. But basically I want to get into blog consulting purchasing and selling full time.
Jamsi: Please tell me a new template is in the works? (No offense Duncan)
David: We have the best designers in the world at our disposal. We plan to use them to take Blog Herald to a new level.
Jamsi: Do your dreams consist of waking up the next morning and seeing the following headlines? -> “Google buys BlogMedia Inc for 60 million dollars”
David: No. I want to create multiple streams of income for our bloggers, and for the owners of BlogMedia Inc, and for me of course.
Jamsi: Thanks for your time Cowboy, may the herald take you and BlogMedia successfully into the sunset – sights set and guns blaring.
David: The Cowboy has retired. But yes thank you for the interview.

Aw, no more Cowboy…
Congrats either way!
