Blog Writing Proposals

blog.jpgAngela Booth has some interesting links including one to an article called You Need A Blog and I Can Write It, apparently also by Angela.

Her suggestions match my experience – keep those proposals short! I’d add that you should also keep in mind your proposal is a sales tool. The goal is to sell you to the prospective employer.

I landed one paying blog gig with an email like this:

Hi – my blog is at www.thegoldenpencil.com; I’m in San Diego. What have you got in mind?

Of course, all my emails have my websites and my phone number… I make it easy for folks to respond, and sure enough, I got the call.

Write well and often,
