Bloglines! Arrrghh

August 25, 2006 by Jason Bean

Bloglines is being screwy again. Anyone else experiencing this? All of my feeds were updated as unread. And, I can’t even mark all as read and start all over because Bloglines keeps refreshing them all back to unread.

Man this is really irritating don’t you think? This makes it a real challenge for bloggers who rely on Bloglines to maintain their news source information content.

I’m sure Cory will be commenting with me soon.

UPDATE FROM BLOGLINES @ 3:11PM: We are now aware of the situation you have reported and our technical team is working towards resolving this issue as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

  1. The bug released last night that caused the problem you mentioned was fixed around noon Pacific time. If you still see wacky unread counts you can now click on the subscription or folder name to reset or rest them all at once by clicking the “Mark All Read” link at the top of your feed list.

Sorry for the inconvenience today. Thanks for using Bloglines and let us know if you experience any other problems.

Not this time. Bloglines has been working just fine for me.

Of course I’ve exported – deleted – and imported all of my subscriptions a couple times since my last difficulties… and I’m almost back to square one.

Robyn, thanks so much for stopping by the site and giving us a personal update. I love Bloglines, it’s amazing how much I’ve come to rely on it, which is a good thing for you, which is also the reason I get so frustrated when something goes wrong.
