Bloomberg Wins Vote To Overturn Term Limits
Mayor To Focus Third Term On Eliminating Smokers, Cars, iPods and Fat People From Manhattan
Michael Bloomberg circumvented voter-approved term limits this week as City Council members voted to give the rights-trampling New York City mayor a third term in office.
Bloomberg famous for his initiatives to outlaw iPods, completely ban smoking, mandate posting of calorie counts, eliminate fluorescent bulbs and tax every vehicle entering into the city had maintained that two terms just weren’t enough to micromanage every aspect of New Yorkers’ personal lives.
“There is still much to be done,” opined the mayor, “We haven’t even begun to address how people should be allowed to decorate their own apartments, how many children each person will be allowed to have or the imposition of a citywide dress code.”
Upon approval of the override of term limits, Bloomberg announced he will be embarking on a pan-Asian tour to China and North Korea to brainstorm for additional regulations he feels would be in every New Yorker’s best interest.
