Bobby Knight Calls it Quits

Bobby Knight, infamous basketball coach and hothead extraordinaire, resigned abruptly from his Texas Tech post Monday night.

The unceremonious midseason departure was, it seems, Knight’s rendition of My Way. The Red Raiders have been bequeathed to Knight’s son and assistant coach Pat. (Bet he has some stories to tell about growing up with Pa Knight).

Knight, who led Indiana to a trio of national championships before getting a pink slip nearly a decade ago, notched 902 Ws as coach—an NCAA record.

Since Knight and tirades go together like Peyton Manning and overexposure in commercials, we had to give our favorite chair-throwing coach a proper sendoff with a trip (23s) down memory lane.
