Bobby Lashley Not Looking For The Easy Way

Either Bobby Lashley is very stupid or very true to himself and the sport of MMA. I would say it’s the latter…and not just because this guy could crush me like a beer can. He recently spoke to ESPN’s MMA Live and talked about the possibilities of getting to the UFC via The UltimateFighter 10 tryouts, which start on Monday.

He also stated that although he would love to be in the UFC, if presented with an offer, he would likely turn it down. Perhaps he’s being true to himself in the sense that he knows that he has only had two professional fights and that he hasn’t really faced any UFC caliber fighters yet. I don’t think many people take him seriously yet due to the previous facts about his professional fights and also the fact that he is a former WWE wrestler. He’s got size and speed that most heavyweights don’t have and with more training he could surely become an extremely dangerous opponent in the octagon. I wouldn’t write him off just yet as he obviously takes his training just as serious as any other MMA fighter and chooses to present himself as a professional.
Lashley trains with American Top Team out of Florida, which is also home to well known fighters such as Thiago Alves, Mike Brown and Thiago Silva, just to name a few. Check out the ESPN video can be viewed below.
