I think if the suit flys it will be under anti-trust and the argument will be that amazon shouldn&#039;t be able to force people to use their printer... but you have some good points and under current administration that&#039;s probably what will happen, thereby killing much of the POD industry.</description>

		<description>Why isn&#039;t it okay for Amazon to publish and distribute books...all of the books they sell, if they want?  Is it illegal? I own a small publishing company and handle only my books.  Is there a law that says I&#039;m compelled to sell other books?

Yes, it will make a big change in the market if Amazon changes its methods.  If they are breaking contracts they have with authors, publishers and distributors, then they would be at fault.  If there were no contracts, then why couldn&#039;t they sell only the books they choose?  

Most local bookstores decide which books they will carry.  If they wanted to carry only books they published, is there a law that says they can&#039;t. 

Who says BookLocker or anyone else can&#039;t set a goal of becoming as large as Amazon?  

I&#039;m not saying I&#039;m for or against Amazon.  Just wondering why they can&#039;t make a change in what they&#039;re doing. The publishing world is in a constant state of change.  This is one of them.</description>
