Bow Before the New Prince of Persia

If you have qualms about falling to your knees, don’t think of it as an act of submission and reverence. Think of it as the only way you’re going to be able look the little Prince in the eyes.

“Now Prince, I already told you, no cookies before bedtime.”

Earlier today, Ubisoft unveiled specific information about Prince of Persia: The Fallen King for the Nintendo DS.

The game’s story will follow its own continuity. From Destructoid:

The title finds the Prince fleeing to a deserted kingdom, only to find that it’s already been touched by the Corruption, the dark substance that infects and destroys lands. In his quest to fight the Corruption, the Prince meets an all-new playable creature, The Magus. Players wlil be able to switch between the Prince and The Magus to both fight and solve puzzles in the game’s 50-plus areas.

At first I read that as “the dark substance that infects and destroys lawns.” I was disappointed when I re-read the line and realised that the Prince would not be slaying fire ants and fungi.

What a shame. He has his Fisher-Price My First Weed Whacker™ and everything.

  1. I know they want to market games for the DS to kids, but come on….why must they destroy the Prince of Persia with this.

  2. Nadia says:

I loved the design choices for Zelda: Wind Waker, but they were incredibly slick and stylish and well-suited to the surrounding world. This is…generic chibi stuff.
