Boxing: Pavlik Tops Taylor In Rematch

Kelly Pavlik again defeated Jermaine Taylor on Saturday night, albeit in much different fashion than their first meeting last year.

Pavlik was awarded scores of 117-111, 115-113, and 116-112 to earn the unanimous decision victory.

Taylor looked good in the early rounds but Pavlik’s persistence allowed him to score points in the later rounds including the 12th and final frame which locked up the unanimous decision win.

According to ESPN.com Pavlik is likely to next face Felix Trinidad on June 7th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
