It’s no secret that Brandon Inge was lucky just to make the 25-man active roster for the Detroit Tigers out of spring training. It happened to be injuries to several Tigers players that kept Inge in the lineup for so long, however recently Inge became the latest Tiger to hit the disabled list.

Now, Inge didn’t exactly get hurt in a pillow fight, but he lost the fight with a pillow while in bed. Inge and his wife share a bed with their three-year old son and Inge says that he was trying to push the pillow behind the head of his son. In the process, Inge said he felt a pop in his oblique.

I really wish I could have sat in on that conversation between Inge, the trainers and Tigers manager Jim Leyland. I bet his expression was priceless (and probably followed by a few expletives).
