Breaking News: Kennedy Has Tumor
Just a few minutes ago, CNN reported that Senator Edward Kennedy has a malignant brain tumor, found during tests following his seizure on Saturday.
There isn’t a full story yet, but there’s no doubt that no matter what path Kennedy follows in the future, this report will throw politics — from the Democratic nomination process to Senate business to Massachusetts state issues — into an uproar.
I had tears in my eyes as I read the AP story. He is a great great man, and an even better senator. It’s a sad day for sure.
Ted Kennedy, simply put, is an institution. It’s hard to imagine the Senate without him.
