NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Favre is laughing now
Evidently the crow tastes really good in Green Bay.
Brett Favre came back to Green Bay on Sunday and will be given a chance to compete with Aaron Rodgers for the starting quarterback job.
Before you can say what the he…
Favre and Packers officials will meet Monday to discuss his return, but if the job is opened as expected, the stalemate between Favre and the team will have ended.
“This was the goal from Day 1, to play for the Packers,” a source close to Favre said Sunday.
Provided the team doesn’t alter course and trade Favre, the battle will draw enormous attention.
Of course, as much as we may laugh at Green Bay’s management prowess, it does not suck to have to take back a future Hall of Fame quarterback to your team. Not to mention, Brett had a pretty darn good year last year.
Barring a trade, the Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre would have to be listed as the new favorites to win the North Division of the NFL.
The funny part, if there is a funny part here, is that the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings were the two teams that wanted Brett Favre the most.
