Just a few days after unretiring again, Brett Favre was on the football field playing a preseason game for the Minnesota Vikings. Although he was only in for eight plays, that was long enough for the Vikings fans to give him a long standing ovation.
In those eight plays, Favre looked every bit of a quarterback who hasn’t gone through training camp. He completed only one of his four throws for a total of four yards. A couple of his throws were completed off target.
But, considering it was a preseason game, Vikings fans didn’t seem to care. Besides, their team was able to beat the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 17-13.
Ironically enough, the star player for the Vikings was Tarvaris Jackson. It is Jackson who might be traded or released now that Favre has decided to go to Minnesota. In the game, Jackson was 12-for-15 for 202 yards and two touchdown passes.
The Vikings play their fourth preseason game on August 31st against the Houston Texans. On September 4th, the Vikings play their fifth and final preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys.
