Brett Favre Over and Out

March 4, 2008 by Jodie Lynn Boduch

Brett Favre, QB of the Green Bay Packers and shoo-in Hall of Famer, is hanging up his cleats after 17 years.

It’s not much of a surprise, and we can’t claim to have been on the Favre cheerleading squad. (Though we don’t dislike him; it’s more of a vanilla flavor, not unlike the excitement level of Tony Romo’s bland interview with People.com yesterday).

One thing’s for certain: We wish he beat the spandex off Eli Manning. If the New England Patriots were destined to lose the Super Bowl, we would have preferred handing if over to Favre and the Green Bay Packers than Eli “Putz” Manning and the luckier-than-lucky New York Giants.
