Airlines are losing money not just in the United States but also around the world. That includes British Airways, an airline that lost nearly $600 million in their latest fiscal year. To help bring money back into their pockets, British Airways will soon start offering a London to Las Vegas flight.

With this flight, the airline will try to cash in on the luxury travelers who want to go to the gambling capital of the world.

“We know how to fly high rollers in style and we will be the only airline to fly non-stop from Terminal 5,” said Richard Tams of British Airways. “It is the ace in our pack and we are going to play it for all its worth.”

Over the last year, Las Vegas has also seen struggles due to the world financial downturn. However, recent reports out of Vegas indicate that the money is once again beginning to pour into the city.

“Despite the difficult global economic conditions,” said Tams, “Las Vegas represents new business and growth opportunities for BA as we continue our commitment to invest in our customers.”

British Airlines claims that Las Vegas is the 19th city in the United States to be served by the airline.
