You know you’re having a bad day when a fast food bag roughs you up like nobody’s business. You know you’re having a really bad day when said rough-up results in a cast and stitches.
Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos crossed the path of one very ornery McDonald’s wrapper over the weekend. The WR slipped on it and put his hand through an entertainment center while breaking the fall. And we can’t know for sure, but we’re presuming that (a) some colorful language ensued and (b) a quick how-to demonstration on the Importance of Using Wastebaskets for Wrappers and Assorted Refuse took place for those present.
Where’s the YouTube clip when you need it?
Marshall, who will be in a cast for a couple weeks, was a good sport about it and had this to say:
“I want to thank everybody for their concerns and let everyone know that I’m OK . . . It’s funny because I pride myself on YAC [yards after catch] and being one of the toughest players to take down once I have the ball in my hands.
“So for the next couple of days, I’m going to take the time to build my confidence back up after allowing that McDonald’s bag to take me down and send me through the entertainment center.”

This commercial was on TV during the time of the slippage….note how the “King” slipped up just as he crossed the goal line….
