Why not just throw in larger altinatior, a battery bank, and two electric moters for the rear in front wheel drives and go? The low idle / down time for the motor should be more than enough to make up any diffrence in fuel economy.

I&#039;m just not sure swapping transmissions is the way to go for passenger cars.</description>
