Several weeks ago, Vivendi Games and Activision merged into one big juggernaut of a company and because of this, a publishing deal fell through on a kick ass looking game. That game? Well, it just so happens to be Tim Schafer’s new game, Brutal Legend. What happened? Well, turns out Activision wasn’t too keen on the new game and decided that they wouldn’t be publishing the rock ‘n roll inspired game. And as an aside – the also decided they wouldn’t be publishing the new Ghostbuster’s game. Apparently Activision is filled with a ton of un-fun and un-hip suckers!

But Tim Schafer’s company, DoubleFine, has been positive the game will find another publisher without worry. Just this week, MTV said no to picking up Brutal Legend to be published, which was a small defeat. Now, however, there are some small rumors going around the internet that EA might consider picking up the game to be published.

Let’s hope the rumor comes true, because I would hate to see this game get lost in no man’s land.
