Social media and marketing expert (and Director of Community for Radian6) Amber Naslund in the midst of a terrific series about building your company’s social media team on her blog Altitude Branding.

Her series of recent posts outlines very comprehensive information about creating a social media team to strategize and manage social media initatives for your company. Your social media team may handle everything from listening to social network chatter to building your brand presence through Twitter, blogging, social networks, forums and other means.

Amber starts out with posts about equipping and assembling a social media team, as well as defining responsibilities. This information is all very helpful. However her Social Media Team Toolkit (which she broke into listening and participating) is the highlight of the series for me.

The posts tell how to build a social media listening platform without using an expensive paid solution, as well as break down the use Twitter, Facebook, blogs and much more.

Does your company have a social media team? It’s essential in today’s world for businesses, both large and small, to develop a social media presence. Social media marketing allows unparalleled interaction with your customer base and target audience, while establishing your brand.

I hope you find Amber Naslund’s series of posts as helpful as I did.

  1. Hey Stephen,

Thanks so much for sharing the series! What I’m finding is that, now more than ever, people need actionable information that starts to lay out the process, not just the “why”. I’m trying hard to be helpful, and in this case, I’m really grateful that you think I’ve succeeded.

Still a few more posts in the series to come; stay tuned, and thanks for reading.

    Cheers,
    Amber
