Bush will skip RNC

The Associated Press is reporting that President Bush will skip the Republican National Convention on Monday. He’s heading to Texas instead, to keep an eye on Hurricane Gustav. Laura Bush is still scheduled to speak on Monday, although Vice President Cheney is expected to accompany the President to Texas.

Lousiana Governor Bobby Jindal, along with several governors of neighboring states will also be missing the RNC.
