Business Marketing Monday: Group Marketing Newsletter

The group marketing newsletter is a joint collaboration of business people who write marketing copy or ads about their business. Done either offline or online, you would ideally involve:

No more than three to four businesses
Complementary businesses (those that are non-competitive and field experts)
Publishing no less than once a quarter, no more than 5 times per year.
When you decide to start publishing a group newsletter, assign an editor for the project so that the editor ensures that all copy is laid out properly, grammar and spell-checked and appropriate for the newsletter. The assigned editor can be an additional person or one of the four in the group.
The marketing strategy here is to keep your name and services prominent in the business world, gain unlimited exposure, establish yourself as a field expert and work with other professionals all while marketing your businesses and services.
Don’t mistake a group newsletter for business partnership. They’re totally different. Business owners, especially consultants or life coaches, are “loners” and tend to work better, unsupervised. If you have one of the business owners who is slower to respond with their articles, consider leaving out that particular order or give existing newslleter contributors oth
