Bust Out of Your Afternoon Nap With Weights

If you find yourself constantly needing a nap in the mid-day, I’ve got the solution to your problem: exercise. (Is there anything exercise can’t do?) Many of us experience a lull after lunch, but instead of passively reacting to your let down by sleeping, you can surge your energy level with heavy weight lifting or sprints.
You don’t need to push yourself to 100% max. For sprints, get a brisk 4-5 minute job and then have at it. With weights, try something that gets your leg moving (a cardio-weight training sort of mix). For example, jump squats or pushing weights (literally pushing like when your car stalls). These activities will get your heart pumping and get the blood flowing in your body.
Today’s workout wasn’t as heavy as I’d hoped but I still logged a good session.
6 minutes warm up rotex
3×12 dumbell bench press on rubber ball 60 lbs
3×8 dumbell shoulder press sitting on rubber ball 40 lbs
3×12 tricep rope pulldown plate 7
4×12 variety of push-ups, each set different, including 1 triangle
3×10 skull crushers w/ 3×10 ez bar bench press following each set 67 lbs
3×12 machine cable shoulder flies plate 10 lbs
I’ll add running after this blog and log it tomorrow.
