Can The Boston Red Sox Get Their Swagger Back?

Even the Fenway faithful have lost their swagger. You could feel it after Rocco Baldelli hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth, which pretty much sealed the 9-1 win for Tampa Bay. The Boston Red Sox and their fans deflated like a balloon. Some fans even booed David Ortiz after he grounded out to first base in the bottom of the inning.
So can the Sox get their Swagger back?
I think so. They need to if they are going to win this series. They’ve been in far worse situations before … remember the series against Yankees in 2004? The Sox are far from out of it. But a few things are going to have to shift.
First, Ortiz needs to find his swing. He’s been struggling lately at the plate. He doesn’t even have a single hit in this series so far. Second, Jacoby Ellsbury is also without a hit. The Sox realize they don’t have Manny Ramirez anymore, right? Other people have to step up.
On the flip side, the pitching hasn’t been that much better. The Sox have allowed seven home runs in the past two games.
It looks as though the Sox are the younger, inexperienced team in this situation when in reality they should have the Swagger of a World Series Veteran team. So … where is it? Where’s the Swagger?
I hope it’s not sitting in L.A.
Here’s a little video inspiration for the Sox from YouTube:
