Immigration continues to be a major political issue in the U.S. The path to citizenship for both legal and illegal immigrants is a difficult one.

If you’re already a U.S. citizen — born in the U.S. and automatically granted your citizenship, perhaps — do you think that you would have been able to complete that path? You would have to pass both an English and a civics test to do so. The English test may not be overly difficult; you have to read, write and speak the language well enough to complete an interview during the citizenship application process.

But the civics test… that can be much harder. Applicants must either verbally answer a set of up to 10 civics questions, or complete a written test of the same. There are hundreds of possible questions, too. The INS maintains a list of almost 100 sample questions — how many can you answer?
