Canadians May Dress Americans Well, But

Before the 2006 Olympics ever start there are important things to take care of, like free clothing. This is not your everyday trip to the mall. Just think – no money, empty shopping cart, people throwing free stuff at you faster than you can see what it is that they are throwing at you. Trust me, I have been a part of this experience twice … it is like being a 5 year old in a candy store after just winning the lotto.
The only issue? As official outfitters of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Team, Nike (USA) and Roots (Canada) will share the world stage as they dress 211 U.S. athletes that will compete in Torino. What is the big deal? It is the first ever Olympic Games that a United States contigent will be dressed in part by an American company in Nike.
And hey Canada, you may dress our athletes, but you won’t beat us in hockey.

Them’s fightin’ words. We’re going to kick your butts just like last winter games AND the world juniors … which just took place in Vancouver, BTW.
