Cans and Cars for a Cause

The 2008 Chicago Auto Show rolls into the the McCormick Place (Lake Shore Drive at 23rd, Chicago, Ill.) on Friday, February 8th. Yep. That’s what we in the know like to call, “tomorrow.”

You might want to hold off on getting those half-priced tickets from Shell. You can get a discount while helping to stock food pantries for the Chicago Christian Industrial League.

Wednesday, February 13th to Friday, February 15th,  you can exchange 3 canned goods for half of the cost of an adult admission.

Incidentally, you can bring food to the show any other day, as well. It runs from this Friday to the next. Plenty of time to go and drool over the new models on display (which include a few new eco-friendly models), listen to experts, watch demos, take test drives … and help the League reach their goal of 5 tons of food raised for hungry people in the Chicagoland area.
