Welcome to the August 14, 2007 edition of carnival of entrepreneurs. This 33rd issue of the Carnival of Entrepreneurs is a great size with about 30 entries! It is growing richer with higher impact entries too! I also want to thank you for submitting a specific post and not just a site. Remember, if you don’t include a specific post you are proud of and place it in a category, it won’t be included. Also, I am starting to see people multiple posts each week to get them on the COE. If I see that you have many submissions, I will pick one and the rest will not get included.

What is really great is that the content and submissions get better and better with each passing week.

August 7th, 2007
A frequent question we get from managers at all levels is how to motivate consistent high performance from others.

In today’s business environment, you can’t force anyone to do anything.

As a manager, you need to think of yourself as leading a volunteer army. In the words of President Dwight Eisenhower, you need to get people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it.

The fact is, psychological research proves that praise and appreciation is far more effective than threats or punishment regardless of what you want people to do.

When people want to do something they tend to put in more and better effort than if they believe that they have to do it. And in this issue we share a motivation strategy that you can use to encourage this kind of voluntary contribution from everyone around you.”
Gley Yahya presents Does eBay Make Money posted at Work At Home Start Up Guide, saying, “You are heading to ebay like most of marketers? They say something like this “where customers go marketers will follow. All ebay users are right to do business with ebay; eBay is the most trusted company according to the Ponemon Institute and the nonprofit TRUSTe. People are sick of scams!!!”

Every search engine strategy requires a solid grasp of the keywords and search terms that will wrangle in the most relevant traffic. The system described here will show you how to break down your service business and discover those terms, beginning with a basic list of core terms and finishing with a final list of thousands of search terms suitable for categorizing and implementing in a new Google AdWords campaign.”
