Casual Games: COLOR box
It’s Friday, which is really secret code for “wasting time at work until the weekend day”. For me, this used to mean going to a casual gaming site and not peeling my eyes away from a game of Rocket Mania until the stripes on the rockets began to blur and the little dragon actually started talking to me in my head.
Now I have a new and frightening addiction to a little web game called COLORbox. It’s far from fancy, there are no cutesy characters on little quests, but its simplicity is also one of the reasons that I enjoy it. Anyone who has taken some art/graphic design/programming is likely familiar with the additive colour system. COLORbox combines color theory with a sort of Tetris-like gameplay in order to create a matching game where the goal is to create the color white.
A pure time waster in that it never ends…you can just keep playing indefinitely, reaching scores of enormous size and losing a lot of productive work time.
